::126::Then there was three..Too negative.
All my blogs recently have been so negative tat it makes me feel worst whenever i read it. To make things worst, there are too many ppl claiming credits to my previous blog...not really a good sign if u know wat i mean..but yeah..things will get better..
How do I know? Cuz I dun really think that anything esle could get worst then wat I am feeling now...Anyway..Positive MArv Postitive...shouldnt really care abt ppl who dun care as much...
So yeah for today's blog I am gonna do something a little different...it shall be the first ever....
~Marvin's Music Review~
Ta da~ For my first piece of work I am gonna do a cross examinal review on three of the most popular male singers in the chinese music scene now.
Thanks to Rachel, I finally have the complete trio Set of lastest work by the three main men. With the latter being a compliation of the recent concert that he had going on. Good ol' Money maker...
Anyway..The three guys tat I am toking abt for all u ppl who are still guessing are none other then Wang Li Hong, David Tao and Jay Chou..The most talented kids around the block in taiwan/asia music industry..
I choose to start with the one tat surprised me the most with his lastest master piece..
Chinked-Out the lastest trend that leehom has created is totall out of the world. With the mixture of traditional chinese instruments, that most of the Asian countries such as singapore has long forgotten, and outrageous Hip hop beats from the western culture, leehom lastest collection of 10 hits are sure to touch and keep ya moving. .
Totally love the beats in his new album, all so groovy and funky. Finally a breath of fresh air the industry, chinese hip hop might have finally evolve away from Jayz RAp. =) Bold usage of strong bass and remixing, evidently shown in hits such as Xin zhou and Follow me are the traces of western culture that have been installed into his work. .
I believe tat li hong is really brave to try something so different from the pop market.Moving away from the comfort zone of wat he knows would sell, to wat he believes is music from his soul. Evolution. Changing the world to his taste. cool eh. Not forgetting of cuz the vintage LeeHom love ballards that shot him to stardom, Then was Wei Li, Now Forever love. Jus too sweet..
David Tao, Tao-ism as many reviewing pages would call him, took the longest of the Trio to come out with his work. The wait was pretty much worth it though. Too fast, too many would only act as a catalyst the market to get sick of ur music. When you play Tao's music from ur cd player through ur headphones, u can tell how much fine tuning he has done to his music. Such a perfectionist is he. *nod head* seriously try it, music sounds different when it is being played from your computer and then through ur headphonez...
If leeHom's new album was all abt beats and groove then Taoz album would top tat with wat he does best. Vocal. The Great Leap, the english title of his album if your wondering, is a display of Taoz perfect mixture of vocal skills to his smooth tunes. After all not all singers now adays can really Sing Ya. From chinese opera tunes all the way to western R and B, Taoz is jus flaunting on how versatile his vocal skills are can.
Following the trend of globalisation, his album style tends to move towards the chinese flow as of his other two competitors in music.Which is of cuz, starting to get common. What so special abt his this album I believe would be the retro beats tat he has instilled into tracks such as Ghost(billy jeans style) and Sula yu Lampa de yu yan ( good ol Rock and roll from the 60s), which is actually pretty cool. The world has enough of electro tunes anyway...
About Composing, I believe that he is actually the limited Single composer to use Guitar as his primary source of compostion. unlike Jay and LeeHom, he uses lesser of the piano thus resultin in usually very complex intro to his songs, which is way cool...Long Solos that are almost impossible to copy jus by listening.Unless your really a Pro in SOlO. take it from me. =)
Zhou Jie Lun~ According to my dad and Ms Koh is the biggest Ah beng in taiwan. Well...dun really know much abt that but he is definately the most talented one tat's for sure. His concert collection jus proves 2 things.
1-how smart his company is when it comes to making money off him. Noticed that he is the one and only Artist that doesnt re-edition his album, giving away his free MTVs as a result. His MTVs, are meant for sales.
2-No one and I mean no one can Sing Jay-style written songs better then the man himself.
Two concerts ago, he proved it by singing his once failure piece (not surprising once u know the singers) ruined by shu bi du wa.. Shi Jie Mo.. and now Wa Jie. Super songs when you heard it from the horses mouth but when u hear the original tracked albums, they were songs that you would most prob Skip through. Therefore, Only JAy and can Sing JAy songs to their actual potential. yup.I think itz abt the Feel of the song when itz written, it too hard to grasp.
Perphaps only the second singer to still have millions and millions of fans pouring into his concert after chow hua jian dispite forgetting most of the lyrics to his song. His concert CD shows Jay's style of impromto singing when the lyrics are...er...well.. lost. There is always something different whenever his sings live, be it the lost of lyrics or the changing of the tune (zhuan Ying) or even the composite of the tune itself. Pretty cool eh.. after all if itz all the same as the CD then why should u even attend the concert rite? It abt making something new out of the old to surprise the fans who has most prob listen to all his songs for 2000000000 times and still in counting. Futher flaunting his talented fingers, i am still amazed by the fact that he can actually play the chinese flute as well..cool..
I watched the concert Vcd with a couple of my frenz and most of us can actaully sing every single song of his with the correct lyrics(sometimes even more accurate then jay himself) and he has like sooooooo many songs in the market. Considering of cos songs he wrote for others. IT really a wonder on how he nv run dry of inspiration to continue writting songs and his rate of songs production is just scary compared to the other two mention above.
Like he foolish King fable, everything that Jay now touches turns into Gold. Every tune he hums is a world wide seller. Every love ballard, an evergreen tune in the KTV. There can be Only one Jay. His style and his attitude is really all that matters to all the die hard fans out there..=)
And so itz done,my thoughts on the music that are playing from my CD player before I get my IPOD..rite peijun? heh..yeah hopes it more postitive then all my prev blog. I cant help it...I am getting more pesimistic accordin to angel but hey I cant help it ok..Maybe you can help me? hmmm..lotz of love and need lotz of it back..=)

::124::Music..If a picture is worth a thousand words, then music gotta be the keyword search tat helps us locate it from our database.
Have u ever heard a tune that reminded you of a particular event, day or even a person? A special song tat jus belong to someone u know? Even an artist tat will shout out the name of ur fren whenever he or she is performing?
A song that only belongs to usA graduating class. Lovers. Family.Fwenz that are moving in and out of ur lives. Fwenz are have already left. PPl that are ever so important in our lives.
It gives us strength when we feel low. It brings us smile when we hear them. It draws memories that we have fail to keep at heart. It is sweet yet not over whelming. Distant yet Warm. Complex but yet ever so easy to related to. It lifts us up.
It breaks us down to tears. It retears wounds that have just been covered. It makes you remember things tat you pray will jus go away. It reminds you of pain that you choose to ignore. It makes you feels that the world is just full of ppl with the same ill-fate. It drags you down.
Amazing how a little tune and words jumbled together in random can make such an impact of us. The ppl who wrote the songs are on the over side of earth and yet they can able to hum and present the exact tune tat is in ur heart. Tunes in your heart that even you did not regconise. It presents a way where by you can tell the people ard you how exactlly you feel inside.
Interesting eh.
Was talking to my fren abt why heavy metal rock and roll tends to lead to devil worship. Its MOSTLY dark and an aire of evil and negativity. He happens to be a crazy fan of metal, which happens to be classified into 30 diff cat..dun ask me how.. , and he admits that yeah ppl tend to worship the devil and even praise his presence.
hell?During one of my bible class in secondary 2, I remember attending a sermon abt how the devil will use music to guide ppl into his army. After all, Lucifer was without a doubt the most talented and gifted Angel in music and Art rite. Music was like his strongest tool, almost like a Forte. So it shouldnt be surprising tat he will use it to expands his dark forces. Almost as amazing as how god is able to touch his ppl with his praise and worship is how deadly the devil can be in dragging you away from glory.
Too Much constantine.. I know..which btw I feel it was NOT as great as the hipe was..As usual..Back to my point which I lost somewhere in the gospel spreading, Music are all around you. The tunes are always changing but the concepts are somehow or other the same. Songs tat continue to cheer you up. Songs tat constantly reminds you of party and sunshine. Songs tat reminds you of brotherly and sisterly love. Songs that are ever so sweet. Songs tat brings you back to break down point again. Songs that give u extra energy to complete the run. Songs tat give u vision in life.
but if there are so many types of Songs around, why do every song remind me of you? ..somehow..There's a lot of things I understand
And there's a lot of things that I don't want to know
But you're the only face I recognize
It's so damn sweet of you to look me in the eyesIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I believe I'm the same
I get carried awayIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed
I'll get over it, yeahThe scent of vaseline in the summertime
The feel of an ice cube melting over time
The world seems bigger than both of us
Yet it seems so small when I begin to cryIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I believe I'm the same
I get carried awayIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed
I'll get over it, yeahI'm so much better than you guessed
I'm so much bigger than you guessed
I'm so much brighter than you guessedIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I believe I'm the same
I get carried awayIt's alright, I'm ok
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed
I'll get off of your back
I think God can explain, I think God can explain
I think God can explainSplender-I think god can explain
